Question:

I want to control a relay with my mcv24, but I have a few questions...
What I'm planning to do can't be difficult, but I think that I'm doing something wrong...
On a note-on I want 10v on a output. on a note-off 0 V.

Can you give me some configuration tips?

Answer:

You can use the preset "MultiTrk"
If you have a newer MCV-24 it should already contain this preset.

- On output 1..12 you have the note CV of the midi channels 1..12
with 1volt/octave and on output 13..24 (upper row) the corresponding
trigger signals initially set to NoteOn=+5V NoteOff=+0V

- You can modify the the trigger voltage in the menu
"SystemParameter/LevelOnV" seperately for each of the trigger outputs.

Example for output 13 (Trigger of notes in midi channel 1):

Ch01Gate/SystemParameter/LevelOnV= 50 : Trigger level about +5V

LevelOnV=100% ---> Trigger level about +9 Volts
LevelOnV= 80% ---> Trigger level about +8 Volts
LevelOnV= 70% ---> Trigger level about +7 Volts
LevelOnV= 60% ---> Trigger level about +6 Volts
LevelOnV= 50% ---> Trigger level about +5 Volts
LevelOnV= 40% ---> Trigger level about +4 Volts
LevelOnV= 30% ---> Trigger level about +3 Volts
LevelOnV= 20% ---> Trigger level about +2 Volts
LevelOnV= 10% ---> Trigger level about +1 Volts

if you use a low-power relais that works with a few milliamperes you can connect it without the need of a driver circuit directly on the output of the MCV-24 (ri=1kOhm)

do not forget to connect a diode parallel to the relais-coil with anode connected to ground or the MCV-24 gets sure damaged !!! (in the worst case 8 outputs at once)
