Synchronizing via Midi  (1)

DarkTime  can sync/can be synchronized to Live  only with  MidiRealtime events , means MidiClock.

DarkTime cannot sync/cannot be synchronized to Live with Midi Time Code .

DarkTime as Master = (3)  Synchronizing Live to External Midi Devices

Live can receive  Midi Realtime Messages (Midi Start,Stop,Cont & Midi Clock) from DarkTime.

So Connect DarkTime to Live  ( see DarkTime as Master )

Set DarkTimes Sync switch  to  "Internal"  ( see  DarkTime as Master  )

Go to Live's  Midi/Sync Preferences   ( Menu Preferences -> MIDI Sync)
and  turn in the MIDI Ports menu the Input, which represents DarkTime  ( normally also named in the menu as USB Midi  DarkTime)  ,
to  Sync = On.

After an external sync source  has be enabled, the EXT button in the Control Bar next to the TAP button appears.
You can then activate external sync either by switching on this button or by using the external sync command in the Options menu.

The upper indicator LED next to the EXT button will flash if Live receive usable sync message from DarkTime.

DarkTime as Slave =  (2) Synchronizing External Midi Device to Live

Live can send Midi Realtime Messages (Midi Start,Stop,Cont & Midi Clock) to DarkTime.

Go to Live's  Midi/Sync Preferences   ( Menu Preferences -> MIDI Sync)
and  turn in the MIDI Ports menu the Output, which represents DarkTime  ( normally also named in the menu as USB Midi  DarkTime)  ,
to  Sync = On.

If you now start Live, it's lower indicator LED next to the control bar's TAP button will flash, also DarkTime's sequencer should run and it's clock LED should flash corresponding to the BPM value of Live.
